Hello Villagers!

Apologies for not writing in June – it has been a rather busy month an unfortunately due to the timing of our meeting we missed the deadline for the magazine. Many of you may have seen the report in the citizen regarding the closure of the hall. This was due to one of our committee members having to resign from the committee leaving us with only 4 members on the board, making us ‘illegally’ able to continue. We held an EGM and fortunately two members of the public stepped forward to help and were voted in. Therefore, we can continue legally under the charity status. WE are still very stretched however, so if you feel you could spend some time once a month to attend a meeting and would like your say in the running of your village hall, please come along!

On a brighter note, we will be holding our Rock and Roll bingo on 27^th June,(6.30pm) we will put a follow up report in next month’s mag! If you know music clips and can tick them off a card in true bingo fashion – come along. You will get 4 rounds of bingo and a jacket spud for your tea all for a fiver! CASH PRIZES!!! -  Discounted BAR all night!!

We would love to tell you that we will be holding a family friendly  GRAND RE-LAUNCH DAY on August 30^th (Sunday) to show off our building works scheduled for the summer holiday. Please feel free to come and view the new lounge, toilets, foyer, refs room and hall at your leisure whilst enjoying the following – BBQ, Bouncy Castle, Cider Festival, Live Music, Disco, Video Lounge, Vintage Tea Room, Face Painting and much more!
